Program Director for Rhode Island Lottery/ Problem Gambling Services (PGS)

This training session is designed to equip professionals with a deeper understanding of gambling disorder. We will explore the history of gambling, tracing its evolution and societal impacts. Participants will learn to identify the key signs and symptoms of gambling disorders, recognizing the behaviors and patterns associated with gambling addiction. The session will also delve into the various risk factors that contribute to the development of gambling problems, including psychological, social, and economic influences and pathways to help including information on available resources, treatment options, and support networks that can assist individuals affected by gambling disorder. By the end of this training, professionals will be better prepared to identify, understand, and support individuals affected by gambling disorder.

Three (3) CEUs will be available through NASW which are generally accepted as continuing education requirements for LMHC, LCSW and LMFT. More information on LADC will be added shortly. If you have specific questions about credits, please contact your respective licensing board. 

This training will be held in the beautiful Cross Mills Public Library in Charlestown, RI.  Complementary refreshments will be available for all attendees. Please register in advance through our website.
